Financial Aid Disbursement

Financial Aid is normally disbursed to eligible students on Fridays between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm at the Cashier Counter - Flagstaff Lone Tree Campus. Students must have their CCC ID to receive their check. Checks not picked up by 5:00 pm are mailed the next business day. All students are required to keep their address and phone number current with CCC. Click here to update or check your address.Students may choose to receive their financial aid by Direct Deposit by completing this form and submitting it to the Cashier. Prior to the start of the Fall and Spring semesters, first disbursement for eligible students is the Thursday and Friday before the semester begins between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm and the Saturday before the semester begins from 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.  Prior to the start of Summer semester, first disbursement for eligible students is the Thursday before the semester begins between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm. Once the semester begins, disbursement for fall and spring will be held only on Fridays and for the summer it will be held on Thursdays..

In order to be eligible for financial aid disbursement, students must meet the following criteria:

Complete Financial Aid File:  All documents requested have been received by the Office of Student Financial Aid. Additional documents may be requested by an advisor after you have been told your file is complete if discrepancies are found in your file.

Verification:  The Department of Education selects at least 30% of students who fill out the FAFSA for verification. A financial aid advisor will verify information provided on all documents in your financial aid file. The advisor may ask for additional information after you have been told your financial aid file is complete. If you are selected for verification we will ask for the following documents:

Awarded:  Your financial aid file has been verified by an advisor and you have been scheduled to receive funding.  You will be sent an award letter and can also view your awards at  Web4 - On-line Student Status.

Satisfactory Academic Progress Probation/Suspension: You must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) at CCC.

No past due debt owed to the college: You must pay all previous semester debts before you may be disbursed financial aid for the current semester. 

Loans: Students who have applied for loans should read about the specifics about rules with loans on our Loan page. There are several steps involved in applying for loans. Be sure to read all of the information on both pages of the Loan Request Form, complete entrance counseling and sign your Master Promissory Note on-line.

Consortium Agreements: When you attend more than one college concurrently, you may not collect pell grant funds from both.  A Consortium Agreement may be processed by the parent school so the student may receive funding to cover some or all of the costs at both institutions.  For more information you may contact the Office of Student Financial Aid.  Consortium Agreements must be completed prior to disbursement of funds.

Additional Information:

When aid received is more than monies owed to CCC:   If financial aid awarded to you is greater than the monies owed by you to CCC, you will receive a check or direct deposit for the difference.

When aid received is less than monies owed to CCC:   If financial aid awarded to you is less than  the monies owed by you to CCC, you must pay the difference.  

Adjustments to Award: Adjustments (increases/decreases) will be made to your financial aid award through the deadline to add classes as published at on the Registrar's website.  After this period, no adjustments to your financial aid will be made unless there was a documented error made by the College.
